Class Experience

The great thing about practicing fine motor skills is that it's easy to make it fun! We'll be playing with playdough, cutting with scissors, creating with hole punches, and coloring with markers to develop this invaluable skill. Each week will include a printable with letter tracing practice and activity. These printables will include items like playdough mats, shape cutting, and tissue paper activities. All of the items needed for these classes can be found at local dollar stores, and can be used over and over again! We'll also take time during class to sing a hello and goodbye song, socialize and get to know each other. I love making learning fun and simple for students so they hardly know they're learning at all. Come join me in the classroom!

Week of 3/15 - Four-leaf clover activity
Week of 3/22 - Polka dot cutting and hole-punching activity
Week of 3/29 - Easter egg coloring and cutting activity

    Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Sadie and teaching is such a passion of mine. I remember my parents telling me I would be a teacher while in elementary school. I used to set up my bedroom like a classroom with attendance sheets and everything. My favorite part about teaching is that "ah-ha' moment when something finally clicks. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a child's confidence sprout when they start connecting the dots and mastering something!

Currently, I own a photography and a candlemaking business, so you'll see classes related to those being listed! I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and have had opportunities to use that in many areas. I have been a nanny and tutor for many ages. I have planned and lead storytimes in libraries and taught as a preschool teacher.

I love anything connected to reading and writing and would love to see your child in one of my writing clubs! My husband and I love to garden and spend time outside, and we hope to start homesteading soon! Someday, I hope to create classes about animal-care and gardening!
