Each day of this multi class section will aim to engage preschool age children in activities to help foster fine motor development. Classes will always begin with fun warm up songs and games to get the hands and fingers ready to work! I am an occupational therapist with many years of pediatric experience. Students will work on proper grasping patterns for writing and school tools. Students will learn strategies to improve finger isolation and strength. Students will work on fine motor coordination.

No homework but it will be helpful to have children repeat some of the activities at home.
Class #1: 1 or 2 cans of playdoh (it is helpful to use 2 cans of the same color lumped together) a few coins or buttons (please supervise child with these items especially if your child is inclined to put things in his/her mouth) a few legos; any sizes toothpicks Class #2 several clothespins cotton balls Plastic cup (can be a solo cup or a kids plastic cup) crayons glue stick or glue bottle A day at the park printable Class #3 Playdoh Click type pen scotch tape or an easel crayons Dot Dot Smile printable Class #4 Cookie Sheet Shaving Cream scotch tape or easel crayons or washable markers Rainbow printable
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
