Spring Story With Van Gogh's Paintings and Craft.
Class experience
US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
In the first part of the class, students will listen to a story about girl Johanna and her life. While "spending a day" with Johanna, children will explore several of Van Gogh's paintings. Together, we will consider the colors in the paintings and the mood they create. We will compare nature on canvas with what we see outside. In addition, I will provide a few details about Vincent Van Gogh and his art. In the second part of the class, students will make a craft inspired by the paintings...
The students will learn who was Van Gogh, what artists do, and what type of paintings we call is a landscape. During the craft time, children will exercise their fine motor skills and will be encouraged to use their creativity.
