This class offers direction for shading the basic shapes. Students will learn how to apply the value scale in creating each shape that is covered based on their ability. Students do best that know how to draw a basic square or circle.

Class experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to accurately draw and shade basic shapes beginning with the cube and the sphere; depending on their skill level, other shapes like the cylinder and the cone may be included. My teaching style is to assess my students skill level, quickly. Then, I will provide examples and demonstrate for them how to draw each shape and add the shading. I will observe their progress during the class time and guide them, as individually needed, for success with the basic forms. The student will learn and apply the different shading techniques from their different drawing pencils and how a value range is used for the shading. After a student has a solid understanding of the basic shapes, they can confidently continue their drawing journey into applying this knowledge to similar shapes they encounter with future sketching.
