In this session, learners will practice how to find the perimeter and area of 2D shapes such as rectangles, squares and triangles. Learners will be encouraged to engage in discussion but not required to. Class will practice Geometry skills in lessons. -Learner must have prior knowledge of all operations, add, subtract, multiply, divide. Examples will be demonstrated through Google Slides and learners will have the opportunity to respond to questions. Feedback will be provided for guidance. *This is a multi-day session, meet 2x/week. First day will be focused on Perimeter. We will look at examples with visuals and real-word problems. Examples will include units which will be encouraged for learners to include in responses (ex. 48 ft.). After our review we will have the opportunity to engage in a Blooket game to asses what we learned from the lesson. *Second day we will focus on finding the Area of squares, rectangles and triangles. Learners must be familiar with multiplication. Examples will include visual problems and real-world problems with units. After examples are reviewed, we will engage with a Blooket game to apply what was learned from lesson. --- Blooket is an education game used for review in this session. There is NO need to create and account or password. Link for Blooket will be shared in zoom meeting and well as the GAME ID for students to join. Please verify that learner will have access to Blooket.com/play before class. ----- For each session, exit ticket will be asked through zoom and learners are to respond. This will demonstrate understanding from students and what will need to be reviewed for next session. Badge: #academia
