Description

Class Experience

The goal is for students to become familiar and comfortable applying financial skills to real life situations.
I started babysitting at the age of 12 and working when I was 14 years old and moved out of my parent's home right after high school. I taught myself to manage money and create a budget. I am also the mom to 3 children and two who happen to be teenagers. My oldest daughter (18 years old) was taught about money management/budgeting/financial skills when she started babysitting and working at 16 years old. She was able to purchase her own used vehicle when she was 15 and a new vehicle at 18 years old. I believe learning these important lessons will help all teens be prepared for the responsibilities of being an adult.
