Welcome to tax tutoring!

Tax doesn’t need to be scary - and together we will overcome every challenge that your leaner faces. I am happy to meet on a one-off basis, in preparation for an exam, or to tackle a specific issue, or as an ongoing regularly scheduled class. 

This class is perfect for parents who would like to outsource tax instruction, or do not necessarily feel comfortable teaching the material. I will meet your learner where they are academically and guide them through the material at a pace that is comfortable to them. 

APPROACH.
My approach to teaching tax is keeping the material fun and interactive. I don’t like to lecture - instead preferring to engage the students and make them invested in the material. 

SUPPLIES. 
I have digital copies of accounting textbooks, so I am prepared to start at any topic and guide your learner the rest of the way! I also have my own resources, so I am also happy to guide the content and tailor to your learner's needs.

EXPERIENCE. 
I have taught maths for over a decade, and am a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. I also have two decades of experience in the homeschool / home educated community. 

TAX
This course is appropriate for age ranges 11 to 18. Tax is a very broad topic, so I can tailor the accounting content to your learner's needs and interests, from fundamentals to intermediate and advanced. Topics we will cover include:

- Income tax
- Sales tax
- Property tax
- Corporation tax
