Class Experience

Financial Literacy Boot Camp - Interactive Games and Activities

In this 4 week -12 lesson fun, interactive financial literacy boot camp course, students will learn the choices and consequences of their money personality, develop a personal budget plan, banking basics of various types of accounts, what is credit, credit cards, loans and how it affects your credit score, different types of investments and the risk level of each investment.

This class is taught in English.

Students will improve their essential life skill  of personal financial literacy through various interactive activities.

As a state licensed Business Education Instructor and attendee of the New York Stock Exchange Teacher Education Program, I am excited to share my knowledge of how the stock market works for beginners.  I spent a week with extensive interaction on the NYSE trading floor.  My stock market game past participants earned 1st place in the state stock market game simulations with the highest percentage of profits competing against over 1200 teams.

Learners will receive a pdf file of worksheets and activities for each class.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

Optional: Students may request verbal teacher feedback during each class session. Students are also welcome to request written teacher feedback on their performance after class. Please send requests for feedback through a private message in the Outschool classroom.

2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Please be prepared to help your learner set up their device before class starts so learners can see and toggle between the Zoom window and their web browser during class.  Teacher will use Nearpod, third party app during class.
