HELLO FUTURE MONEY MASTERS! This class is everything you need to get started on your journey to financial literacy. Children benefit TREMENDOUSLY from learning financial education from a young age. The earlier you learn great habits with money, the more time you have to make great financial decisions for your future. This camp will help your students learn more about making money and what to do with it when they have it. The goal is to balance fun with practicality. We can't wait to get started! No experience is necessary: just a positive attitude & a willingness to learn. Each week will consist of two classes. The first class of the week, we do educated guessing, research and learn. The second class we reflect, share ideas, and expand on our creative, problem-solving thinking. ----- Week 1 - Motivational Storytime - Walter the Vault meets the Pumpernickels 📕 Are your kids curious about starting their own business? Learn fun, useful tricks from Penny, Benjamin, and Walter the Vault on how to start a business based on your interest, skills, and customer demand! ----- Week 2 - Coins, Coins, Coins 🟡 Grab your spare change and get ready to learn about coins! We'll look at similarities and differences between coins from around the world. ----- Week 3 - Tactful Trade 🐮 Before there were coins, people would trade and barter. Learn about how people trade today - and negotiate for fair deals. ----- Week 4 - Needs vs. Wants 🤔 There are many amazing things we can buy... however, we have a limited amount of money. Learn to prioritize your spending and WHY it is an important skill. The difficulty of each class will vary. Some topics are easier than others, however, we'll ask more challenging questions if the class seems to be at a level where they can handle the challenge. And vise versa, if the class is at a lower level, the difficulty will be modified. Overall, the goal is that you leave this class with a great understanding and new perspective on your choices with money and the way it works in our world. 🔹 More About Walter the Vault: Walter the Vault provides financial literacy advice for children and parents. Kids will learn to save reasonably, spend responsibly, invest wisely, give appropriately, and budget regularly. Learn lifelong valuable financial literacy skills with Walter the Vault!

Parental Guidance
Parents are discouraged from being onscreen in all Outschool classes, but they're welcome to be nearby and learn too! :).
Learning together can give parents and students a common language about money (which can be an awkward topic). If this class helps you get more comfortable speaking with your kids about money, that's awesome!
