Parental Guidance
The content is curated and reviewed for the students. I constantly review the material I show in class with https://www.commonsensemedia.org/ a great tool for parents and teachers to understand what is appropriate to show kids and what age. The teacher always advises students to check with parents that the teacher mention in class. Sometimes the teacher talks about certain films that not age-appropriate for them, however, the teacher will never show video clips of these films.
Supply List
Students must own or have access to a smartphone or Smart Tablet for the class. I recommended editing software that is free and can be downloaded from the proper website. During class, I will send a list of appropriate equipment for students who want to embark on smartphone filmmaking. However, it is not mandatory to buy equipment that is just a list of tools for them to use.
