In each week of this ongoing social club, students will discuss a superhero movie from the MCU (such as Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Black Widow, etc.) and critically analyze the plot, theme, and characters.
Class experience
Dive in and catch up on the Marvel Cinematic Universe! In this ongoing class, students will learn how to analyze story structure by dissecting a different Marvel movie each week. This course is part English class, part fan club. Before class each week, students will watch the selected movie and fill out the provided Marvel Movie Review worksheet. Students must have access to the movies we will be watching. The films for all courses are available on Disney+, except for those currently in theaters.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
All of Marvel Studio's movies are rated PG-13, which means parental guidance is suggested up to the age of 13 years. Adults should use discretion when deciding whether the movies that will be discussed are appropriate for their learners.
