Class Experience

Are you excited to see Nathan Chen compete for the Olympic Gold Medal? Are you more of a fanyu and rooting for Yuzuru Hanyu to be the first skater to land a quadruple axel? Do you think Mariah Bell will be on the podium with the Russian and Japanese ladies?  Let's talk about their chances! This class will have a brief overview of figure skating in the Winter Olympics and then introduce the leading competitors from all countries in their respective categories: womens, mens, pairs, and dance. ...

We will talk about figure skating in the Olympics past and present. I will also explain the judging system and any other technical questions the students may have. Mostly I'll allow the students to talk about their favorite skaters and play a game of what would you do in their situation. My approach for this class is to be engaging and fun.
