Figurative Language is a Hoot! In this class, students will have fun learning what an idiom is and making meanings of words or expressions from literal interpretations of common idiom phrases.

Follows Teacher-Created Curriculum
Aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
Students will learn the meaning of what an idiom is and improve their understanding of idioms.
I am an experienced California Licensed Teacher who has taught Idioms for grades 3-5 for 30+ years. Idioms are part of the Language Arts Common Core curriculum.

Homework: Finish any incomplete classwork.

Students will need to bring to each class a pencil, colored pencils or crayons, a glue stick, scissors, and a spiral notebook. All handouts will be provided by me and uploaded 2 days before each class. Please download prior to each class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
