Welcome to Figurative Language: The Science of a Story.  This 7 week long course will be exploring what makes good stories tick.  What is it that makes a story fun to read and an engaging piece of literature?  Like all things, everything is made up of other components that make it them what they are and stories, are no exception. Students should come to class with paper and a writing utensil.

Students will be assessed by their increased understanding of what they read and on the improved quality of their own writing.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
