Lesson 1
Dependent & Independent Clauses
Students will learn how to identify and write dependent and independent clauses as parts of sentences.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Proper Nouns
Students will learn how to correctly capitalize a variety of proper nouns.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Subject & Object Pronouns
Students will learn how to correctly use all of the subject and object pronouns including the words I and me.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Helping Verbs
Students will learn how to identify and write correct helping verbs in sentences to match the action verb.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Past, Present, & Future Tense Verbs
Students will learn how to identify and write in simple past, present, and future tenses to show time with consistency.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Adjectives & Adverbs
Students will learn how to identify and write adjectives and adverbs in sentences to make it more descriptive as they learn to differentiate between adjectives and adverbs.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Prepositional Phrases
Students will learn how to identify and write prepositions and prepositional phrases in sentences as well as understand their purpose.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Commas: Series, Dates, Places, Direct Addresses, & Introductory Words
Students will learn how to correctly place commas in sentences with a series, date, place, direct address, or introductory word.
 Week 9
Lesson 9
Titles
Students will learn how to correctly capitalize and formats titles within sentences.
 Week 10
Lesson 10
Progressive Verb Tense
Students will learn how to write in the progressive verb tense (continuous tense) by adding -ing to the action verb and pairing it with the correct helping verb.
 Week 11
Lesson 11
Reflexive Pronouns
Students will learn how to identify and write reflexive pronouns in sentences.
 Week 12
Lesson 12
Modal Verb
Students will learn how to use modal verbs in sentences to express different possibilities or needs.
Students will practice grammar and sentence structure using interactive activities.

Homework Offered
Students will receive 2 printable worksheets and activities for extra practice of the weekly topic.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
