Class experience
This class is second in a series - students should have completed Song Book 1 (Beginning FIfe Class) OR be familiar with beginning fife songs using B, A, G. Students will learn C, E. F. D and songs that use eighth notes and eighth note combinations. Students will learn mini scales and arpeggios for the following keys: G, A and F. Students will expand their note reading abilities as most pieces are learned by 1) clapping and counting the rhythm, 2) learning the notes before trying out the...
Students will learn the first half of Song Book 2. New notes - C, E, F, D; eighth note combinations; short pieces in 4/4 and 3/4. Students have access to recorded accompaniments online and can use those during their week to make the piece more interesting.
