In this one week course, we meet 2 times and will travel together to visit my virtual zoo in order to see the alphabet of animals!

In this class we will be working on connecting our knowledge of the alphabet with the sounds that those letters make. We will be doing this by taking a virtual trip through the Zoo together and looking at all the cool animals we encounter. Not only will we be seeing such a variety of animals, as your Zoo tour guide I will make sure to share some fun and interesting facts about all the animals that we see along this journey. In order to have a great time at the virtual Zoo it would be helpful if you are able to recognize most of the alphabet, but if not, no worries! It is sure to be a fun adventure, see you soon! This class would be great for pre-schoolers and kindergarteners that are working to refine their letter recognition and beginning sounds skills. ***NOTE: All of my regularly scheduled classes will end on Tuesday August 25, 2020 -- I will be back to school and unable to facilitate classes on Outschool regularly. Please keep an eye out for my classes that pop-up throughout the traditional school year. Thank you for your understanding!***

Greetings! My name is Mr. Nick and I am a Kindergarten Teacher during the school year. I love being able to teach the topics I'm passionate about here on Outschool. My classes are typically geared towards lower-elementary aged children and focus on areas like social emotional learning, diversity, inclusion, and core curriculum. I love to make learning interactive, fun, and relevant to the students. I have my Elementary Teaching Certificate for grades K-5 and have years of experience working with kids in an educational environment. Ranging from the Zoo to the traditional classroom. Beyond the classroom, I love to spend time outdoors and taking care of my backyard garden. Overall, learning is meant to be enjoyable and that is what I hope my classroom does for all students who enter!
Class Policies:
- In the event that no enrolled learners show up for a scheduled class I will wait until 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. After that point the class will be automatically cancelled and refunds will not be granted.
- Class transfers will be grated to other sections of the same course up until the start of the scheduled session.
- I strive to create a virtual classroom space that is fun, engaging, and celebrates all learners. Though in the event of frequent or persistent interruptions, background noise, or inappropriate/off-topic conversation the mute function will be used at my, the teacher, discretion.
- The chat function and ability to rename themselves is disabled in all of my classrooms.
