Calling all fiction lovers! Do you love getting wrapped up in a good book where possibly some Elves are hiding in a faraway world manipulating the elements or some dragons are flying close by fulfilling prophecies? Or better yet, do you find yourself doodling away and creating tons of fan art for your favorite books? If the answer is yes, then this art club is for you! In this weekly on-going drawing club, we'll be completing various drawing activities related to a different book series of the month such as Wings of Fire, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Mysterious Benedict Society and more! Each week, we'll be drawing various things from the month's specific book series such as favorite characters, creatures, and even descriptive interpretation of various scenes in the books along with discussing theories, opinions, favorite characters, and much more! I will be using an overhead camera to demonstrate the week's drawing project to allow learners to draw along with me or simply be inspired for their own creations. This will not be a step-by-step drawing class. Students are free to be as creative as they want with their drawings or follow along with my creation based on the theme of the week. To give a better idea of what themes or types of projects we'll be working on, here is the schedule for the next four weeks: ⭐March - Wings of Fire Series by Tui T. Sutherland Saturday, 3/4- Create a New Dragon Species Saturday, 3/11 - Descriptive Drawing from the Books Saturday, 3/18 - Draw a Dragon as a Plushie Saturday, 3/25 - Turning Dragons into Humans ⭐April - Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan ⭐May - TBD Books Series and themes for the month to be determined by a random wheel spin in class on 3/25. Please note this is an Art Club, not a book club. Books are not required to be read. We will not be discussing in depth the book series. Although it is recommended learners have read the series' already in order to avoid spoilers, it is not required. An updated schedule of which book series we'll be working on will be posted here in order to give others a chance to read the books if they choose to. Learners are free to subscribe or unsubscribe at any time should they not be interested in a certain art project during a particular week. A schedule of which projects we'll be doing will be updated once this current schedule has passed. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at any time! I look forward to going on many creative and amazing adventures with you all!
