Class Experience
Please note this course will be held on Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm EST. The start date for Week One is January 7th, 2021. This course is designed for preteens interested in film and television, particularly stories that centre the experiences of girls and women. This is a 10 week course and club- think of it as a mix of learning about feminist onscreen representations AND a place where you can meet friends with similar interests as you! We will look at a variety of onscreen representations...
Students will have inspiring conversations about brave girls. We will watch and discuss uplifting stories about girls who are courageous and stick up for what they believe in.
I am a Ph.D. student in Gender, Feminist, and Women's studies with a specialty in film. I've been teaching kids and teens for 8+ years!
