Through a close examination of beloved works, we will uncover themes of courage, resilience, and identity. (All reading will need to be done before each meeting)

What To Expect From Each Meeting:
- The beginning will be dedicated to the literary topic of the week (see below).
- We will focus on the Authors or fun facts about their time/location. Examples: Recipes, Clothes, Entertainment.
- We will go over our current projects and activities
- We will end the meeting with a fun discussion to further the students' understanding of the text.

Alice in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll)

The Princess and the Goblin (George MacDonald)

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (L. Frank Baum)

---

Creative Writing Component:
Throughout the course, students will engage in creative writing exercises related to each novel, helping them to process the themes and elements discussed in class. Said exercises may be uploaded onto the classroom page upon completion. (There will be a total of 4)

Classroom Activities:
One activity related to the reading will be posted throughout the week. Participation is optional, as these are provided for entertainment.

A new thread will also be uploaded each week for further discussions focusing on the weekly reading assignments. I will post reading questions to help guide discussions, but students are welcome to take those discussions in whatever direction they choose. (Students are encouraged to post at least once per week per thread; however, they are welcome to post as often as they would like.)
