Female Pirates in History Summer Camp

Female Pirates in History will provide the learner an overview of pirate history as well as individual biographies of specific female pirates. Day One will cover the history of pirates with the student learning 3 or more specific incidents involving early pirates and learn about Chen Sao, the famous Cantonese pirate.
Day Two will cover Anne Bonny, the Irish-born American pirate and Mary Read, the English pirate learning 3 or more facts about each.
Day Three will cover Grace O’Malley, the short-haired Irish pirate and Rachel Wall, one of the first and only American women to try her hand at piracy learning 3 or more facts about each. 
Day Four will cover Jacquotte Delahaye, the Saint-Domingue born pirate and Sadie Ferrel, the American river pirate, learning 3 or more fact about each. 
My class is structured with review of previous lessons fun facts followed by a slide presentation and short videos. The students spend time at the end of class reviewing what has been learned and, when time allows, play a game of pirate trivia. I am very laid back in my teaching style and like a lot of interaction between myself and the students and the students with one another. Students will not need any prior knowledge of pirate history for this class.
