Description

Class Experience

Through group discussion and personal reflection students will leave class with a concrete menu of strategies for keeping their brains busy and improving focus.
Bridget Smith, a credentialed teacher, is a person with ADHD.  She is also mom to two kids with ADHD and other learning differences.    She has a Master's Degree in Education: Teaching from the University of California Santa Cruz and has worked with learners preschool-adult.
If you do not finish your "dopa-menu" in class, I recommend that you finish it on your own time.
Art Supplies: papers- colored or white pens and pencils colored pens, colored pencils, or crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Inspiration for this class came from Jessica McCabe of the YouTube Channel "How to ADHD" specifically her podcast "How to Give Your Brain the Stimulation it Needs."  Parents can watch the link to this video here https://youtu.be/-6WCkTwW6xg to preview the material we will cover in class.
