February Kindness: Friendly Letter and Monstrous Craft
February is full of kindness and love. First, students will write a friendly letter. Then, they will make a recycled kindness monster to give to someone they love. Perfect Valentine's Day gift or a great way to show appreciation.

Class Experience
Learners will learn how to write a friendly letter. They will also learn how to add details to their writing. Most importantly, learners will have fun writing.
Training: Bachelor of Science Degree: Psychology with minors in world religion, philosophy, and sociology Teaching Certification: Preschool-Grade 9, cross-categorical special education Master of Education Lifelong Teaching Certification Employment: 11 years as a 7th and 8th-grade special education teacher 4 years as an elementary special education teacher 2 years as English as a second language teacher online Freelance editor and proofreader-on and off for 20 years My son and I joined Outschool in September of 2019. We also started homeschooling at the same time. I enjoy being a parent and a teacher with Outschool. I receive valuable insight due to my two roles. Extra: -I love learning. I love learning about writing, science, literature, arts, history, and many more topics. -I have done a lot of research, took classes, and in many cases received certification for the following: social skills, happiness, mindfulness, crisis intervention, mental illness, disabilities, self-esteem for elementary and middle schoolers -I have lead many clubs and classes in these areas too. I also have extensive knowledge of the impact of stress, mental illness, chronic illness, and environmental circumstances on a person's learning. -Soccer Player and Coach: eons -I love working with children.
Prior to class, students will need to set up their craft area. I will send detailed directions. Some students will be able to set up their work area by themselves. I always strive for independence. It is perfectly fine for students to receive help too.

The craft project can be messy. Parental guidance as you see fit for your child.
