In this followup to the first course on avian studies, students will expand upon their knowledge of ornithology and bird watching.

Class Experience

Prior experience required: Feathered Friends: Ornithology for kids Level 1

In this thirty minute course, we will continue to build upon our knowledge of the Avian species. Students will be challenged to press their critical thinking skills and ask and answer questions to deepen their understanding. We will work as a group to research and record information about a variety of specific bird species. We will also sketch birds in our nature journal.  In addition, we will make a bird feeder!...

I have 13+ years of experience teaching all subjects to a variety of grade levels. In addition, I taught science and social studies in isolation both in person and virtually. I also have a strong connection to the natural world and practice bird watching during my own time.
