I will assign worksheets for students to complete in between classes to review the material, which will be posted after each class, along with the PDF of the day's lesson,Class Experience
In this Summer Camp, we will learn basic verbs and nouns. Learners will learn greetings. how to introduce themselves, count to 50, colors, and other important vocabulary. Classes are led through Google slides, so that we can follow a structured lesson. As we go through the material, I will repeat the wores several times for students to learn pronunciation and spelling. It's necessary for students to have working audio, as I call on every student in class to either translate learned words, or practice their pronunciation. Because this is an interactive lesson, it's also beneficial for students to have their camera on. I want to make learners comfortable; not intimidated by learning a new language, and I believe we learn best through our mistakes. My approach is patient, but rigorous. Day 1: Greetings, salutations Day 2: Introducing ourselves Day 3: Colors, numbers Day 4: Writing and speaking project (students will create short sentences).
Learning Goals
Students will learn vocabulary in French, and how to introduce themselves.
