Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(14)
Taught by a 10 year Modeling & Fashion Industry Veteran, this course will serve as an Introduction to understanding the "Behind the Scenes," Ins & Outs of the Exclusive World of Fashion Modeling, for both young men & women! :)

Class experience

After our initial introduction and breakdown; students will learn (through a mix of discussion(s) & Powerpoint presentation, etc.) -

-The difference (and different requirements) of each area of Modeling (Niche, Art, Commercial, Editorial, High Fashion & “Influencer,” etc.)

-How to create a “Portfolio;” and effectively create an online presence to market yourself
-How to find legitimate Photographers for “Test Shoots” (TFP)
-How to find legitimate Agencies & Representatives (of which I will personally recommend some)
-Rates and Percentages
-How to know your “Type” - and which Market is the right one for you
-How to best present yourself at Castings & Go Sees
-Current and relevant publications to research, study and learn from
-Model release forms and knowing your rights

-If Modeling doesn’t end up for you, but you still love Fashion - what else can you do to still work within it?!
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from The New School (University) in New York, New York; with a double major in Psychology & The Arts and with a minor in Writing. I also happened to take several Fashion courses at Parsons School of Design.

Prior to university, I signed with my 1st Modeling Agency in NYC at 17 (and have been represented in Europe & Africa as well), and have worked with clients such as - Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Hood by Air, Telfar, Cassette Playa & Netflix; and featured in publications such as Dazed&Confused, i-D, Wonderland, VFiles, Out, Hypebeast, Huffington Post and more.

I took that experience and parlayed it into working a myriad of "behind the scenes" roles in Fashion & Entertainment - as a Stylist and Fashion & Editorial Associate for GQ, WWD, Glamour, and Interview Magazine(s); to working in Production at Warner Bros. Studios; to freelancing in Marketing/Public Relations & Creative Consulting for multiple brands & companies - steadily working in NYC, L.A. & Europe over the last decade!
