Each class will end with an open Q&A for students to ask anything they wish - and every student will receive personalized, honest feedback, recommendations and tailored steps as a follow up, after the class is complete!Class Experience
Students will begin the class by introducing themselves, what drew them to fashion and what their main focus or passion is within the Fashion Industry. Though I will teach an entire overview, it will help me to assess and tailor more specific information around their ideal roles & interests of choice. We will first go over the main “divisions” of the Fashion industry, and their relevant Positions & Roles (through a mix of discussion(s), and a Powerpoint presentation, etc.) — -Fashion Magazines = Creative Directors, Editors, Journalists, Copywriters, Stylists, Photographers, Graphic Designers, Set Design, Bookers, Production Staff -Fashion & Design “Houses” = Designers, Illustrators, Seamstresses, Ateliers, Tailors, -Fashion Marketing & Public Relation Firm(s) = P.R. Executives, Press & Showroom Managers, Social Media Managers -Retail = Visual & General Merchandising, Buying, In-House “Stylists,” Studio Services, Sales, Corporate/Administrative -Film/Music = Costume Design, Wardrobe & Styling, Talent Handler -Freelance = Hair and Make-Up Artists, Creative Consultant(s), Style & Trend Forecasting, etc. -Modeling Agencies = Department Heads, Agents We’ll explore the meeting point of what you LOVE to do, what you’re GREAT at doing - and where those happen to intersect! Let’s find out, together! ***If you do not see any listed classes, or times that accommodate you & your learner's schedule - please do not hesitate to message me, and/or request a preferred day & time, if interested in taking my class! Thank you :)***
Learning Goals
After our initial introduction and breakdown in the 1st class, students will then choose 2-3 positions that seem of interest to them during our 2nd class, and we will delve in and learn more specific, detailed information that I will tailor for each student. From -
-What each role is titled, what each position entails, and what upward escalation/trajectory in each role looks like; starting salary, etc.
-Education requirements - what classes students can begin to take, even in middle/high school, that will aid in their chosen profession; all the way up to College, MFA and Certification programs; Internships, etc.
-Top companies in each respected field of choice (Top Magazines, Design Houses, Agencies, Studios, etc.)
-Best “Market” (location) in each respected field of choice

Teacher expertise and credentials
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from The New School (University) in New York, New York; with a double major in Psychology & The Arts and with a minor in Writing. I also happened to take several Fashion courses at Parsons School of Design.
Prior to university, I signed with my 1st Modeling Agency in NYC at 17 (and have been represented in Europe & Africa as well), and have worked with clients such as - Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Hood by Air, Telfar, Cassette Playa & Netflix; and featured in publications such as Dazed&Confused, i-D, Wonderland, VFiles, Out, Hypebeast, Huffington Post and more.
I took that experience and parlayed it into working a myriad of "behind the scenes" roles in Fashion & Entertainment - as a Stylist and Fashion & Editorial Associate for GQ, WWD, Glamour, and Interview Magazine(s); to working in Production at Warner Bros. Studios; to freelancing in Marketing/Public Relations & Creative Consulting for multiple brands & companies - steadily working in NYC, L.A. & Europe over the last decade!
