In this one-time class, learners will design and illustrate a 4-piece capsule collection while learning insider design tips and tricks for easy (and fun!) fashion illustration. We will start by learning the basics of why designers illustrate their ideas. Then we will think about our own designs and sketch pieces in pencil on the provided template. (A print-out will be provided upon sign-up and must be printed before class.) Next, we will learn how to apply color to our designs and learn designer tips for illustration. Markers or colored pencils can be used. No experience is required although those with years of experience are welcome! This class accommodates all skill levels.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of fashion illustration and how to use their materials to express their ideas.
