This class will have a look at wedding designs from 1920, WWII, the 1960s, and the present. We will see how these time periods have changed the designs of wedding dresses. From Queen Elizabeth II's dress to designs by Randy Fenoli and we will see how our creative inspirations could have an impact on others. Week 1. 1920 wedding dresses-- How they can be changed to be worn today and how those styles are unique for that time period. Week 2. 1930 war years-- How rationing changed the look of wedding dresses. Week 3. 1960 wedding dresses-- How the age of flower power brought new designs and new looks into the Bridal industry as well as how the short wedding dress was introduced and is still loved today. Week 4. Present-day wedding dresses-- Randy Fenoli: how his elegant designs that are on a budget have changed the Bridal industry. In each of these classes, we will design a dress from the past on paper and also redesign that to have a present-day look. *Subject to change

Teacher expertise and credentials
Why me? I have loved fashion since I was very young. One of my designs was even sold in London. My Nan, mum, sister, and daughters have all been involved in being very creative. You could say that sewing is in my blood and threaded through my veins. I love encouraging students to love fashion, to think for themselves, and be creative.
