Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this engaging 6-week flexible schedule course, young learners will embark on a fascinating journey into the realm of fashion forecasting. They will discover the secrets behind predicting future trends while gaining valuable insights into the fashion industry's inner workings. Throughout the course, we will learn how to conduct fashion research through a series of interactive lessons and hands-on activities. We will explore the fundamentals of trend analysis, color forecasting, retail analysis, and more. At the end of the course, each student will have created their very own trend report. Week 1: Fashion Week Week 2: Street Style Week 3: Retail Sales Week 4: Environmental Scanning Week 5: Data Analysis Week 6: Trend Report Whether your child dreams of becoming a fashion designer, buyer, or stylist or simply wants to learn more about trends, this course provides a solid foundation. Please Note: This course has NO LIVE MEETINGS. This allows learners to work at any time throughout the course, but please make sure to post each week's assignment within the given week. I will be actively engaging with learners in the "Classroom" tab and can always be reached there or through direct message!

Parental Guidance
Websites that will be recommended for our weekly projects include Vogue.com (Fashion and Runway sections), WGSN.com, Pantone.com, and the e-commerce sites of learners' favorite stores. If your student would prefer to not use any digital media and create a physical trend report, fashion magazines (Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, InStyle, etc), catalogs, and/or their own photographs can be used instead.
Supply List
- access to Google Slides, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or similar - a camera is not required, but could be used if learners prefer to use some of their own photos *If your child does not want to use digital media, they can use fashion magazines (Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, InStyle, etc), catalogs, and/or their own photographs instead
