In this ongoing course, we will be "traveling" around the world learning and drawing different cultural outfits each week. Students will be challenged to design one on their own and present it in our next class.
Class experience
In this extensive ongoing course, we will be "traveling" around the world each week learning and drawing different cultural outfits and national costumes (focus will be mainly women's looks with a few exceptions). This course combines cultural studies with fashion drawing and design. It encourages students to develop an understanding and appreciation of cultural traditions and clothing that are different from their own.
