After graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology, I worked in Womenswear on Fashion Avenue (7th Ave) for many years. The skills I gained from working in the industry were very different from college.... those are some of the skills I will be teaching here. Fashion Design has a lot of technical aspects that most students don't realize, it's not about just drawing beautiful clothing, it's about knowing why and how stitching and fabric textures flow and fold also.
