Intermediate Level
Explore fashion as art, identity, and influence while creating your own inspired mini collection. 🧵 Class Description: Fashion is more than clothing — it’s a form of self-expression, cultural identity, and artistic voice. In this 4-week course, young designers will explore the deeper meaning behind fashion by analyzing how identity, history, and global influence shape personal style. Each week, learners will be guided through creative prompts, sketching sessions, and concept development to design their own capsule collection — a small group of coordinating pieces that reflect their unique vision. With a blend of art, critical thinking, and design, this course encourages students to look beyond trends and into what fashion means to them. Learners will receive a croqui template to help them start sketching, and are encouraged to modify and build from it in their own style. 👩🎨 Learner Experience & Flexibility: This course is great for learners with some prior drawing or fashion exploration experience. Lessons are flexible and can be adapted based on student skill level. Students are encouraged to explore beyond templates and build their own visual voice. Supplies Needed: Laptop with internet access, sketchbook, pencils/erasers, colored pencils, croquis (provided by teacher)
