Fashion Design Team Challenge: Creative Sketch Club

This class is a great fit for learners who:
1) Love to draw!
2) Prefer having flexibility in what they create instead of always following the teacher.
3) Enjoy socializing and camaraderie.
4) Have an interest in fashion!
5) Want to learn from an industry designer.

Class structure:
Each week, learners will be presented with a new design challenge followed by a short series of images to spark ideas and provide inspiration to solve our design challenge. ✨ The images are not fashion-related! ✨ We will learn how to use inspiration from the world around us in an artistic and creative way (think Project Runway group challenge, but with paper and pencils instead of fabric and sewing machines!) 👗

1) Intro: 3-5mins welcome and optional show-and-tell
2) Design Team Challenge: weekly challenge is introduced followed by 35 mins of sketching broken down in 5-8 minute intervals with visual prompts for each.
3) Share: 5-8 minutes each designer can show their sketches to the team if they would like, but is not required!

Real-world application:
This class will teach creative problem-solving skills in a fun, interactive environment. Students will experience what it is like to be part of a design team while flexing their creative muscles in new ways each week. We will learn how to use inspiration from the world around us artistically and creatively. ✍️

What you will need:
1) Plain paper
2) Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
3) Pencil and eraser

No previous experience is required. This class meets once a week, but the classes do not build on each other, so if you miss a class, you can jump right back in!
