Beginner - Advanced Level
Love drawing and want to work on your sketching skills while looking at the most current runway fashions? This is the class for you! ✨ Each week, students will learn about a new fashion designer and be presented with an edited group of runway images from a recent Fashion Week collection. We will discuss key themes and learn how to analyze artistic work using design language. Students will be encouraged to use this as inspiration in their fashion sketches. Some students may choose to practice their sketching skills and recreate the looks as fashion illustrations. Others may take inspiration from specific details, colors, prints, or silhouettes to create their own new and exciting designs. All ideas are welcome and no previous experience is required! A few custom design templates will be provided, but are not required. We will be sketching with pencils and coloring with markers or colored pencils. This class meets once a week, but the classes do not build on each other, so if you miss a class, you can jump right back in!
