In this class, students will practice creating their own designs using a variety of sketching techniques used by fashion designers. Students will learn the difference between a technical flat sketch, an illustration, and a thumbnail sketch. We will discuss when designers use these different techniques in the development process and why. This class will focus on real-world application of sketching and insider tips and tricks for communicating design ideas. Two croquis will be provided in the welcome email upon sign up. Please make sure to print both copies before class.
