It's All About the Details! This course is taught by a veteran Fashion Designer, who worked in the industry for many years in the heart of NYC. I teach from both experience and education (Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC). I'd love to have you come and design with me! These can include jewelry, belts, shoes, scarves, hats, and handbags. Accessories not only help complete an ensemble, but they can also add a splash of color, personality, and style to the wearer. Top designers know this too; that's why so many have lucrative accessory collections. This is a live one-time class using multiple cameras that the teacher will use to show technique and the design process. We will design, sketch and illustrate various accessories, choose coordinating colors to color and highlight/shade our designs, as I show them simple ways to get their ideas across and techniques used in the industry. I will have sketched templates in different poses attached to the classroom for students to use for their designs. A head template may be used for headwear, neckwear, glasses and earings. A few arm and wrist templates for jewelry, and a foot and leg template for footwear. This class is Accessories only, I have another Fashion Design class for clothing.
Learning Goals
Students will gain knowledge for different parts of the fashion industry.
