Do you like Project Runway or Making the Cut or Next in Fashion? I love these shows!!! So I have come up with a fun fashion design class; we will explore different silhouettes and then you will create a design using that silhouette. We will meet once a week for an 45 min. class. I will define what a silhouette is. I will give plenty of examples so the students will have a good understanding of the silhouette of the week. I will guide them step by step how to draw the body and and how to start their first design. They will then create their own design using the silhouette of the week. I will be there to guide them with their drawings and will give little tips to improve their drawings, design, color, pattern and details. Learning Goals
The students will be learning how volume or the lack of it changes a design. They will learn about how design effects the body type. They will also learn about the practicality of the garment; it needs to be wearable. They will be expanding their creative design skills, color skills and drawing skills.

I will be teaching Fine Art classes; drawing, and painting , fashion design and fashion sketching. I have a BFA in Costume Design, and a Certificate in Fine Art from Mission Renaissance Fine Art School. I have been teaching for 20 years and creating art for 30.
