In this class I am going to teach the core of what a fashion designer does, of course, designing clothing for a fashion line is the priority. Creating design briefs that encapsulate the instructions and objectives of a project. Making mood boards with aesthetic elements like colors, textures, and fabrics. Creating and delivering presentations on projects to different professionals from various sectors of the company. Analyzing design trends in their market and staying up-to-date on what styles are emerging in the industry. The course will include drawing a simple human figure sketch, adding clothes on bodies, choosing a style, creating patterns. Week of November 20 - drawing a human figure basic, croquis, home work getting ready templates for clothing Week of November 27 - adding simple clothes to the human figure Week of December 5 - creating a pattern for fabrics Week of December 12 - designing a sport stylish outfit

The students will become familiar what a fashion designer does, learning how to design clothing for a fashion line and patterns for fabrics.

Black pencils HB, 2B medium softness, eraser, rulers, compass, templates, drawing pad, fine point markers set of 20 or more, colored pencils.
