Class experience
This course is taught by a veteran Fashion Designer, who worked in the industry for many years in the heart of NYC. I teach from both experience and education (Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC). 6 files available upon enrollmentPaper (also a sheet of paper for writing specifications on) Marker Paper or Tracing Vellum (if you choose to use a template to trace over) Pencil Eraser Black sketching pen (like a Copic liner) Markers or Colored Pencils You may work digitally if you prefer I have attached 3 different templates, one is good for Female Fashion Costume Design and Female Comic Hero/Villain, one is good for Female Manga Costume Design, and one is good for Male Manga Costume Design and Male Comic Hero/Villain. Choose whichever suits your designs.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be using outline Croquis (templates) of Male and Female forms. Students should be comfortable with basic line drawings of breasts, similar to a mannequin.
