This class brings together students who are in love with fashion, illustration and design. They will learn the core principles, master tools and techniques, render materials, and vividly express their fashion ideas through sketching.

Lesson 1
RENDERING FOOTWEAR
Students will learn how to draw different kinds of footwear, adding details and texture for emphasis, and showing the accessory from different angles.
Lesson 2
RENDERING HANDBAGS & PURSES
Fashion handbag illustrations focus on the 2-D dimensional drawing of the structure for the handbag shape. To complete the look students will learn how to render materials and stitching realistically.
Lesson 3
RENDERING JEWELRY & OTHER ACCESSORIES
Students will learn the process of designing and drawing jewelry accessories, understanding the intricate details and technical structures to make new and beautiful designs.
This class is taught in English.
  • Students learn to draw step-by-step, understand the core principles, master tools and techniques, compare materials, trust their intuition and vividly express themselves and convey their fashion ideas through sketching and illustrations.
Teacher Katie is a professional artist with a background rooted in animation, where she crafts captivating illustrations for a diverse clientele. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Entertainment Arts and Animation, and utilizes her love of telling stories through her work in story-boarding, illustration, and animation. Her passion in theatrical and costume design and the entertainment industry in general has contributed to an innovative approach in her teaching as well as inspired many students that she met in her classes. Teacher Katie is committed to nurturing an atmosphere of intrigue and creativity, where she empowers her students to unearth their unique narratives within their artistic work.

Teacher Palm is a professional fashion and costume designer familiar with the complete product creation life cycle from initial concept to constructed design. She holds a degree in Fashion Design from The Parsons School of Design in New York. In addition to over 10 years of teaching art and fashion, she is also experienced in staging collections in numerous international Fashion Shows for luxury clients including Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, Ann Taylor and Kenneth Cole. She gained valuable industry experience in the capacity of Creative Consultant for designers, theaters and art schools. Palm is also proficient in a wide range of fine arts such as watercolor, oil, pencil, pastel, etc. and approaches her teachings with a calm mind, optimism and positive affirmation.

Details: An E-Certificate of Completion with grades will be provided for learners who have completed all sessions and actively participate in class activities, including sharing their work at the end of each meeting. Learners who miss more than 2 meetings or do not participate in showing their work may not be eligible to receive the certificate.
