This Introductory course will explore the history of fashion, while creating new and unique designs using pencil and ink. In this class, students will explore what styles recur throughout history and styles that will unlikely return. At the beginning of class, we will have a look of over 100 years of fashion. Making connections to styles today, and discuss their fashion likes and dislikes. Next, we will have a closer look at figure drawing using shapes and explore proportion drawing techniques. Then, each learner will have a chance to show their fashion flare and eye for design by creating their own fashion outfit using a style package filled with reference images. Beginners and advanced fashion designers are welcome, an interest in fashion design and drawing is the only requirement for this course.
