Do you like Project Runway or Making the Cut or Next in Fashion? I love these shows!!! So I have come up with a fun fashion design camp; we will explore four different silhouettes and then you will create a design using that silhouette. We will meet four days in a row for an hour class. I will define what a silhouette is and the importance of it. I will give plenty of examples so the students will have a good understanding of the silhouette of the day. They will then create their own design using that silhouette. I will be there to guide them with their drawings and will give little tips to improve their drawings. Day one: the rectangle Day two: the triangle Day three: the hour glass Day four: a rectangle and oval Lets have fun and let your imagination run free.
Learning Goals
The students will be learning how volume or the lack of it changes a design. They will also learn about the practicality of the garment; it needs to be wearable. They will be expanding their creative design skills and drawing skills.

printer paper or sketch pad, binder to keep designs, pencil and eraser , color pencils or markers.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
