Class Experience
Week 1: Design Industry Careers The student will learn different careers in the industry including job descriptions, what their day may look like, and salary figures. Week 2: Tools and Terms The student will learn what tools are needed for industry pattern making and sewing. Week 3: Clothing Textiles The student will learn different fibers and their applications. Week 4: Fashion Design Illustration Project The student will learn to make a 9-segment croqui to make their own design or if...
The student will need to study for their in class mid-term exam and present their cumulative work for a grade for their final. The last 5 weeks will be more project based, so they may need about 2 hours outside of class each week to complete their projects.
