Costume design for television and movies is the glue that holds the performance together. Let's design fashion for our favorite characters! This is a great option for budding fashion designers and artists alike. This introductory fashion design will explore fashion in television and movies, while creating new and unique designs using pencil, ink and watercolor. In this class, students will explore what styles television and movies use. Students will explore the themes of: Period Fashion, Iconic Styles and Elaborate Designs. Teaching Style: I like to discover strengths and what they might want to improve. My main goal in each of my classes to help each student achieve their creative potential. Experience: Some knowledge of drawing is an asset but not a requirement for this course.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their fashion drawing skills, figure drawing and color techniques.
