Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Let's go exploring! This interactive FLEX class will cover some of the most interesting and unique mammal species of Uganda. This is a highly interactive flexible schedule class. There will be a lesson video posted each week which can be watched whenever is convenient for the student. These video lessons will have a minimum of 8 mammals in each lesson (total of 32 mammals over the period of 4 weeks). During the videos, there will be fun pop up activities to keep the video interactive and allow the students to be engaged in learning. The students will not only learn about the mammals themselves, but they will also learn about subjects such as endangered, extinct, vulnerable, habitat loss, conservation, climate, camouflage, etc. On our classroom page, there will be a flow of discussion questions and activities that the students will be able to participate in. There will be fun Quizlet activities that will allow each student to continue to practice their new knowledge. During these four weeks, the students will be working on their own project. They will be able to choose a mammal from Uganda that they would like to do research on and create a research project. I will be actively engaging with the students throughout the four weeks.

PLEASE NOTE: This course does overlap with the "Interesting Mammals of the World" class due to the section on African mammals that in in the "Interesting Mammals of the World." Feel free to message me if you would like a list of which animals overlap.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or requests.
