In this course we will tour virtually and learn about how glow worms light it up caves, how gems are created, how to make maple syrup and study the Roswell Incident that took place in 1947.

Class Experience
Following are topics that we will be studying in detail. WEEK ONE - Glow Worms Life Cycle. - How glow worms emit light. - Where glow worms can be found. - How a glow worm is different from a firefly. WEEK TWO - Where the Hope Diamond was found - How diamonds are made - Where to find diamonds and the process of mining them - Diamonds vs Gems - Rock formations including petrified wood WEEK THREE - Learn about Maple Trees and it's leaves - History on Maple tree tapping - How Maple syrup is made from sap to syrup - Where Maple trees are found - Maple tapping tools WEEK FOUR - The 1947 Roswell Incident. - Debris that were found. - Theories of what else it may have been. - View a model design of what the sight looked like when the UFO crashed.
Optional: Paper and pencil for taking notes for further individual research.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
