"Fascinating Firefly" Fun Facts and Crafts With Mrs. Allison

This is a fun and exciting class where the students and I will create our own firefly that glow in the dark. I will be teaching the student interesting facts about fireflies as we are creating and using our imagination.

Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class, students will learn about and create a "Fascinating Firefly". 
This class is a great way to get your creative juices flowing and your scientific minds growing. 
As we go step by step on creating our very own firefly, we will be looking at and learning many interesting facts about this amazing insect.
I look forward to teaching the student and creating with them a super exciting glow in the dark insect!

This class is taught in English.

Student will need the following to create this project:
*Water bottle
*tissue paper (one color of their choice)
*1 glow stick
*pip cleaner
*googly eyes
*foam sheet
*mod podge
*foam brush

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

In this class we will be using different materials that could use supervision. I will need the students to use mod podge, and glow sticks to light up the firefly. You might also want to use a hot glue gun to paste the wings on the bottle.
