US Grade 2 - 5
This is a series of live classes where students will be able to learn about interesting animals all around the world (that perhaps they have never heard of previously!). The types of animals that we will focus on are: birds, reptiles, fish, mammals, and amphibians. Each week has 8 animals that will be taught (they can be from any or all of the categories above). There are eight lessons for this series. The lessons can be joined at anytime, and we will be rotating back to the first lesson when we finish the eighth. The lessons are $13 each. Geography will be integrated as we discuss where these animals live, but geography is not the class’s main focus. The students will learn about the animals themselves, and they will also learn about vocabulary and topics, such as, mammal, amphibian, reptile, fish, bird, endangered, extinct, vulnerable, habitat loss, conservation, camouflage, habitat, geography, etc. Each week, there will be a Quizlet activity that the students have the option to participate in on the classroom page. I will stay responsive to the classroom comments and discussions. Below is an overview of the animals that learners will be learning about each week. Parental Guidance
When defining a mammal, we mention that typically mammals have live young and do not lay eggs (except for a few exceptions). I do not go into further detail about this. I do not talk about mating. If a student does, due to the ages, I will kindly try to change the subject.

Hello and welcome!
I'm Kristin, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to meet your learner(s)! I am a certified teacher with a B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. With years of experience teaching both in the classroom and online, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my teaching.
In addition to teaching, I'm a business owner and have a background as a horseback riding instructor, which adds a unique perspective to my approach. My teaching philosophy centers around not just imparting knowledge, but inspiring a love of learning. I believe that when learners develop a genuine curiosity, they are motivated to grow, succeed, and eventually inspire others.
I create a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and supportive of all learners, regardless of their abilities. I'm experienced in tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and learning preferences, ensuring that every student feels confident and engaged. My teaching covers a broad range of subjects, with a particular focus on literature, life skills, nature, history, and geography.
Outside of the classroom, I have a variety of personal passions: horseback riding (both English and Western styles), reading, playing guitar, dancing, dog training, learning new languages, and exploring the world through travel. I love incorporating students' passions into their learning journey and am always open to hearing feedback, ideas, and preferences to make the learning experience even more meaningful.
What is your learner’s passion? I can’t wait to help them discover new interests and grow in their education. I look forward to meeting your learner(s) soon!
