There are three sections of this class. First a circle time where students will share what they know about living on a farm, learn what a farmer does and who else lives on a farm, and sing a song about a farm. Second Students will participate in a sensory activity and discuss what they think about the smells, sounds and textures of a farm. Third we will make a farm scene out of the sensory materials. This is an interactive conversation focused class participation will be encouraged. Props, slides, songs, and discussions will be used throughout the class to promote interaction.

Supply List
A variety of sensory materials are suggested please pick at least 5. This class can get messy. I leave it up to you how messy you are willing to get by the choice of materials. I suggest a plastic tub to poor the materials in so that they are some what contained. Farm Scene Materials: Paper and glue to make farm scene markers or colored pencils for drawing Sensory Materials: Grass(real, plastic, or construction paper) Dirt(real or confetti like paper ) Sand Feathers Water or water beads Corn kernels Cotton balls Lentils Pinto beans Rice oatmeal Hay Noodles (raw or cooked)
